Where inspiring stories begin…

At Hymers Independent Junior School, we provide an exceptional Key Stage 2 primary education for pupils in Years 3 to 6, offering the perfect next step in their primary school journey.

We believe children learn best when they feel inspired and supported. That’s why we offer a safe, happy and nurturing environment, where your child will be encouraged to grow in independence and curiosity.

With the support of specialist subject teachers and access to high-quality learning spaces, your child will enjoy a rich and balanced curriculum that develops key academic skills while nurturing creativity, character and confidence.

Whether they’re discovering new ideas in the classroom, performing on stage or exploring outdoors, your child will thrive in their primary school years at our independent Hymers College.

    Making Getting Here Easy

From Year 3, your child can hop on one of eight convenient buses from across the Hull, East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire region. Find your nearest bus route here.

If you’d prefer to drop them off, you may wish to make use of our free wraparound care.

Drop your little one off from 7:45am and let them enjoy homework club and playing with their friends until 5:45pm.

  • Preparing for Life

We are passionate about making sure your child is ready for life, not just the next stage of their educational journey.

Your child will feel an immediate sense of community at Hymers; joining one of our four Houses, supporting our younger pupils and following our CARE Code (Care, Acceptance, Respect and Effort).

There will be a plethora of opportunities to develop a better understanding of our local community and the wider world, as well as building aspirations. For instance, our annual Theme Week has focused on the Olympics and careers in recent years.
