Year 7 Chemistry Week competition winners
A recent Year 7 assembly celebrated the winners of the Chemistry Quiz held during Chemistry Week at the beginning of the month.
Congratulations to winner Emily M (Brandesburton House) who received an inscribed chemistry book.
There was a three-way tie for second place: Harriet P (Brandesburton), Ruby U (Trinity) and Dylan W (Brandesburton) as well as a Highly Commended award for Atul K (Gore House).
The top four placed students all received a periodic table plus a cup imported from Connecticut USA (which has atomic masses to 2 decimal places), that can be used, washed and re-used, but could be considered as a trophy.
House points will also be awarded to these students.

The standard of the entries was superb, showing extensive chemical knowledge and deep scientific understanding in some excellent answers.”
