Millie’s cycling success

Year 11 student, Millie, won the National Youth Cycling Time Trial championship (GHS Trophy) last weekend.

This follows on from receiving news that she has been selected for the Great Britain Cycling youth team Academy Foundation programme (NSR) for 2023/24. Millie is very much looking forward to representing GB and wearing her kit with pride.

It’s been a good (and busy) year, as Millie came 14th in the prestigious international race the Tour of Flanders in Belgium and 2nd in both The National Series Otley and Newark Town Centre races. Millie has made 4 National podiums in the British Cycling National Youth series and at the National Track Championships. She has also been selected to ride for the Yorkshire team on the road and track at Castle Combe and Glasgow in the inter-regional championships (formerly the National Schools Games) She will continue in working hard in the hope of securing selection for the European Youth Olympic Games next year.
