Sixth-Form Field Trips and Tours

Our pupils enjoy a variety of field trips throughout their time in the Sixth Form.

Supporting their A Level studies these trips have included a Physics trip to CERN in Switzerland, a Biology trip to Cranedale and a Geography trip to Sheffield.

During the summer we offer pupils in the Sixth Form the opportunity to take part in a CatZero yachting experience. This is an annual nine-day sailing trip on a 72 foot Challenger around the world racing yacht.

The CatZero trips have been running at Hymers for four years and we plan to run another next summer, any pupil in Years 12 or 13 can apply, and the application process usually starts in September.

Our students return with new skills, renewed vigour, confidence and a greater understanding of the importance of team work and clear thinking.

In addition to these trips our senior sports squads have the opportunity to participate in various sports tours. Recent destinations for pre-season tours have been the UK and Europe.

Our senior squads for rugby, hockey and netball will be touring South Africa in Summer 2019.
