Young Brass Award Semi-Finalist

We are incredibly proud of sixth-form student, Seb Williman, for making it through to the semi-final of BrassPass’ Young Brass Award 2019.

The global competition requires participants to submit a performance recording to the panel at BrassPass to then be narrowed down. The final 8 participants – of which Seb is one - have been chosen for the semi-final round in the New Year.

The semi-final requires Seb to perform live at Stoller Hall in Manchester on 13th January 2019.

When asked what winning the competition would mean to him, he replied,
“I entered the competition of gaining good experience and a bit of exposure. Winning would mean everything; it would open me up to such an array of unique performance opportunities.”

Seb’s ambition is to study Performance at The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), then go on to be a freelance performer.

We wish him the best of luck for the semi-final!
