Hymers College Charity Committee
Established in 2017, the key aim of our Charity Committee is to find two relatively small, local charities to support through various fundraising events and activities. The Committee pledges to raise at least £1,000 for each charity, helping to make a significant difference to the work they do and hopefully raise their profile as a result.
Members of the committee encourage all students and staff to get involved with the charity ventures that take place here at Hymers College. As a whole – through bake sales, non-uniform days and other charity events – we are proud to have raised over £4,500 for our chosen charities in just two years. Our chosen charities have been: PAUL For Brain Recovery, Ellie Penrose Fund, Hull and East Yorkshire Mind and Bundles of Joy.
Mrs Mason, Charity Committee Co-ordinator, commented:
“It’s great to see how enthusiastic the students are about getting involved and really making a difference to our chosen charities, they are really driven by the positive impact their donations have on the causes we support as a school.”
