Charity Carol Concert raises over £5,000

Friday, 22 December, 2017

The annual Charity Carol Concert took place last night in a packed Main Hall. The school's magnificent musicians made some wonderful contributions as over 200 children featured. The Hymers musicians and singers were joined by the Year 3 Choir from, Associate School, Hessle Mount.

Four local celebrities gave up their time to join in the celebrations. Kofi Smiles, Emma Hardy MP, Chris Chester and Linda Barker gave festive readings and also joined in a 'Generation Game' style activity of Christmas wrapping, much to everyone's amusement.

Fergus Murphy and Nicole Baldwin, two Year 12 students, compered the evening and ensured things flowed smoothly.

We are delighted to announce that we will have raised over £5,000 for the local homeless charity, Emmaus Hull.
