Alan Turing Cryptography Competition

Friday, 12 May, 2017

Three Hymers College teams have been battling it out amongst over 1000 other teams from schools all across the UK in Manchester University's Alan Turing Cryptography Competition. The online event consisted of six codes to crack across the whole of the Lent term, followed by a day at the university. Each round got progressively harder and teams fell by the wayside, but by the end our teams  - consisting of pupils from Year 7 and Year 10 - did incredibly well to finish 67th, 36th and 33rd.
