There has never been a time when careers guidance has been as important for young people as it is today.
The landscape of education, training and employment opportunities that students need to navigate is more complex and more challenging than that faced by previous generations. Young people face an increasing range of choices of courses and places to study.
Qualifications such as GCSE and A level are changing, and opportunities in Higher Education extend now beyond the UK to other parts of Europe and further afield. Students need help to make decisions and manage transitions: they need high quality careers education, information, advice and guidance.

The school careers plan sets out how the school provides an excellent careers programme with a wide range of events, visits and individual advice and guidance with our resident Careers Specialist Adviser. This provides our students with the knowledge, inspiration and ability to make informed decisions which will enable them to succeed in their chosen career paths.
In July 2018, we were awarded the Quality In Careers Standard, a national award recognising our excellent careers, Higher Education and work experience programme
The work experience programme is available to all students from Year 10 onwards, the majority of students completing their placements in Year 11 and into the 6th form. We work with local and national employers to provide a range of opportunities.
