Lord Mayor's Charity Concert
3rd December 2010

No fewer than 35 Hymers pupils braved the arctic weather conditions to take centre stage at last night’s Lord Mayor’s Charity Concert. Singing carols and other Christmas songs, the youngsters performed in front of The Lord Mayor and his guests at the Guildhall.
The Lord Mayor, Concillor David Gemmell, OBE, praised the youngsters for ensuring the show went on. He also thanked Mrs. Bushby, Mr. Pybus, Mr Laing and Mr O’Byrne, who braved the weather and accompanied the young musicians. I would add my own very grateful thanks to all involved.
The Concert raised £6,000 for the Lord Mayor’s chosen charities.
