09/02/2010 - Chemistry Challenge
A team from Hymers recently won the Chemistry Challenge at the University of Hull which was organised by the North Humberside Section of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
The children reconstructed a disassembled Periodic Table, compared the energy content of different foods by calculation, deduced isomers of an alcohol, and answered a written quiz on national curriculum chemistry topics.
Well done to Sam Taylor , Year 11, Neale Franklin and Sura Hassan, Year 10,and Alex Bartlett and Jess Sharp, Year 9.
