Young Enterprise

A national educational charity, Young Enterprise aims to provide pupils with the skills and attitude required for personal success. Over sixty students from Year 12 participate in the competition each year, with each student sitting the YE examination during the Spring term.

Hymers College has achieved considerable success in this national competition:

  • In 2005 the Young Enterprise Company 'Avian Enterprise' won the National Finals of this competition and came 2nd in Europe.
  • In 2006 the Company 'Tops Off' again represented the Yorkshire and Humberside Region in the National Finals.
  • In 2007, 'Force 7', a youth communications company, were placed first in the Uk and went to to the European finals in Berlin.
  • In 2010, 'Stem Enterprise' reached the Yorkshire regional round only to be beaten by Gibraltar!
  • In 2011, 'CooKIT' was chosen to attend an international trade fair in Bratislavia

Advisers from local businesses support each company and we would welcome the assistance of any parent who feels that they, or their company, would like to join us in this year’s campaign.
