Welcome to our new website!

Hymers College is a co-educational independent day school for pupils aged 8 to 18 and offers a first class education. Results consistently show we are one of the highest achieving schools in the North East. In the recently published (September 2009) Telegraph League tables of GCSE results Hymers College was placed 85th in the country and in the League Tables produced by the Times, Hymers was in 20th place for Co-educational Independent Schools.

We believe that a good education should inspire boys and girls to take every opportunity offered by a school to develop their talents. Hymers College is full of motivated, happy pupils who are doing just that.

We pride ourselves on the quality and breadth of the curriculum we provide whilst also developing the creative, sporting and personal skills of all our pupils. We are a school that welcomes progress in education but also cherishes traditional values.

Sharing with parents in the guiding and development of young lives is a privilege we value highly. I am confident that Hymers College can really make a difference to your child’s education and that we can give him or her the best possible start in life.
